We've got the fence boards underneath spaced for drainage and then just put the boxes up onto plain old cheap bricks to help the drainage even more. We rent so we couldn't tear up the grass but this way we get the veggies and the boxes that are movable.Samihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02587741138438552440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7144729391631082753.post-21052949300377398182009-04-08T22:34:00.000-07:002009-04-08T22:34:00.000-07:00Lowe's was had the lumber on clearance at 75% off ...Lowe's was had the lumber on clearance at 75% off and we got lucky and snagged 3 of the 4 remaining boards. I have seen the raised beds where the wood is built directly on the ground...but your idea is different. Also, the idea of a garden-planning site has piqued my curiosity! I am going to visit! If I find it useful for my own purposes, I definitely will join; I'll let ya know;-) You certainly have your work cut out for you! I wish you lots of success with your veggies this summer. I haven't tried to grow veggies other than tomatoes, which any uneducated flower gardener can basically do (maybe not 'great' but at least those are 'doable'). I am not at all capable of other veggies! I AM experimenting w/'flower' seedlings, however, and have salvia, petunias, impatiens, and several others that I am going to do a post on very soon because they are really doing well! Anyway...I wish you much success!Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844013803699228989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7144729391631082753.post-81415271854095711152009-04-06T20:15:00.000-07:002009-04-06T20:15:00.000-07:00Thanks!
